I wanted to send you a note of thanks and a few pictures of
the SPD in action. As they did last year the guys did a
terrific job getting the 7 ton from Exit 6 on I95 up to the
toy collection center on High Ridge Rd near you outpost and
back. Then, as they did last year, they want one step
further and partook in the unloading of the truck. One of
your officers served in the same Marine base as the driver
of the 7 ton. It was fun watching the guys interact and it
added to the positive attitude of the day.
Please thank the officers involved for me. I hope to see you
again next year.
Thank you again!

Tackle Trump Parc
Hi, Joe,
I thought that you might like to see our “team picture” from the climb. We had an honorary member, Felipe Polanco…he is Danielle’s personal trainer, and the only way that he could run with us was to sign up.
But he did help to bring our team total to $1440 raised out of our $1500 goal. Our finish times were: Duke (and Felipe: 5:44), Adriana 6:07, Danielle 6:10, and I came in at 6:17, which was good enough to put me first in my age group (by 3 minutes).
We had a great time; I only wish that we could have recruited more members. I hope (God willing) that we can do it again next year (11/06/10), but in the meantime, Danielle decided that we should try the one at the Prudential Building in Boston (41 floors) in February (she wants to captain that one, and is going to contact you to see if we can do it under the SPA banner; we don’t mind paying our own way on the registration fee).
Stamford Fire and Rescue are going to be there also. All of us hope to do it, and a few others now have shown some interest. I hope that by next year’s Trump Climb, we can get a larger group together (FD had 35!!!)
Thanks for the idea; I think that even our small team represented us well.
